A Lamp and School Pictures...

I have had this lamp since college and decided it was worth a DIY design risk.  I took some twine and hot glue and started wrapping...  It's been a while since I used the hot glue gun on a project and quickly remembered why. My fingers may never be the same again do to the many burns.  Still, I think it was worth it.

I vaguely remember seeing a note about school pictures but didn't read any fine print.  I think the best part about these pictures is that I ask Connor a hand full of questions after picking him up after school and he never said a thing about someone dressing him up (multiple times) and taking pictures.  So I was surprised to pick him up one day and have these handed to me.  I giggled the whole way home.

You've got such a great knack for decorating, so so cute. And oh my word, I am laughing about Connor!! He's a boy! You've got to drag the information out of him. My girls, on the other hand... they don't stop! :)

I call the first one "The High School Math Teacher". The second one is Andre from "The League" http://www.blogcdn.com/www.aoltv.com/media/2010/09/andre.jpg and I hope those are real fish in Pose 3. These are the finest school photos I've seen since Nic left the comb in the front pocket of her overalls.

Pose 3 makes more sense now that I know the preschool Connor attends is part of the feeder system to Denver's huge commercial fishing industry.
