Rochester, my love.

I hope you will excuse me for boasting, but I must tell you that my brilliant husband has graduated from Medical School! I am very proud to be his wife. Throughout the last four years he has never made his family feel like they are second priority, he has a passion for medicine and makes everyone who is around him feel comfortable. He will truly be a wonderful Doctor.

It is all happening too fast. I have been anticipating these final days in Rochester for months now, but I can't keep up with the goodbyes, the packing, and all the emotions that seem to burst out at the strangest of times. When we first moved to Rochester four years ago, I didn't think this day would come fast enough. But the strangest thing has happened... I love it here in Rochester! Don't get me wrong, I will be one of the first to tell you that the weather is horrible and the shopping has plenty of room for improvement. But I'll also be the first one to tell you that the people are amazing. We have met friends that we will love until the day we die, and we have had experiences that will never be topped--one being, we had our first child here in beautiful Rochester! You can bet I'm crying because I'm not so sure that I am ready to move onto sunny Colorado. I don't know how to hop on an hour-long plane flight to visit family (what will I complain about when I arrive?). I love you Rochester, you have been very, very good to me and to my family.

I know exactly how you feel. I went through the same rollercoaster of emotions last year, and I was only moving 30 miles away. Between the whirlwind of moving and graduation and everything it all happens so fast that it doesn't really sink in until it's over.

Congrats to you and Zach on your graduation! And good luck on your upcoming adventures in Colorado
